“We didn’t see this coming,” says Leo van Etten clearly. For five years he has been working on other founders to realize this open -air park for cyclists, BMX people and skating players. “We don’t accept it either.”
New location
BMX association De Kley-Drivers is currently in the eastern edge of North and South Scharwoude. Together with Skeelervereniging Radboud inline skating and merger club Cycling Association Noord-Hollandse Victorie, they saw the perfect new location in the Geestmerambacht Recreation Board. In an information letter, the mayor & aldermen announced that he would see nothing.
“The Geestmerambacht Recreation Board has responded to the feasibility study. They are critical of the spatial compatibility in this area and the spatial feasibility in relation to existing and new developments in the area.”
