In the municipality of Emmen, blue -green algae is a problem in more places. In the vicinity of the Grote Rietplas, for example, several blue-green algae warnings have also been given by the province.
Blue algae can cause eyes or skin irritations. Other complaints are headaches, stomach and intestinal complaints.
