On the fringes of a constant demonstration in the Tiergarten, a 30-year-old man obstructed a rescue mission by paramedics and then tangled with the police.

On Friday afternoon, the fire brigade was called to John-Foster-Dulles-Allee near the House of World Cultures because a participant in the so-called “peace camp” of left-wing groups and initiatives complained of chest pains, the police said on Saturday.

According to the police, while the paramedics were taking care of the man, a troublemaker from the demonstration stood at the door of the ambulance and repeatedly called between them. In order to close the door, the paramedics had to call the police.

A crowd of people protested that only more police officers could have calmed the situation down, it said. When the troublemaker was supposed to give his personal details, he fled, but was caught after a short chase.
