Pronovias is the first bridal fashion company to create NFTs

As the first bridal brand, Spanish luxury bridal fashion house Pronovias has entered the metaverse with the launch of three NFT wedding dresses as part of the upcoming Versailles 2023 collection.

The digital dresses are a preview of the collection, which will be shown at the Pronovias runway show as part of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, taking place from April 20th to 24th.

The brand has selected three dresses from the new 2023 collection, designed by the brand’s artistic director Alessandra Rinaudo and inspired by the magic of Versailles, to transform them into intangible works of art in limited editions. In this way, the brand wants to “unite art and bridal fashion in a new, growing universe: the Metaverse”.

Under Rinaudo’s supervision, the selected dresses were digitally reproduced to reproduce the patterns, textures, beads and even the reflections of the dresses.

As the brand explains in a press release, the three dresses chosen for the first NFT wedding dresses follow the five trends of luxury style with French influences from Versailles. These references are reflected in the dresses through “precious necklines, endless trains, gold tones and daring lace that interpret lilies, as well as pearls and embellishments”.

The first dress, Cadenet, is an elegant and exclusive two-piece consisting of a semi-transparent strapless corset in dotted tulle with push-up cups and a skirt with a 215 cm train with a fleur de lis lace belt. It has a high neckline and long, puffed lace sleeves that end in delicate ruffles.

The second dress, Charlotte, is a soft mermaid gown with ivory and gold floral embroidery mixed with silver threads, and an underlayer of modern glitter tulle. It has a high V-neck, a low back and a 215 cm long train.

The third dress, Pompadour, is a glamorous creation in gold lamé taffeta with a sensual V-neckline, a pleated sash belt with an oversized bow and a long train. It has oversized puff sleeves with jewel buttons that culminate in a 135cm long train.

The three NFTs will be uploaded to the OpenSea platform and can be viewed on the Pronovias website. “How these NFTs will be offered to brides will be seen once the Versailles 2023 collection hits stores in September,” says Pronovias.
