SV Werder Bremen has retained homegrown player Wesley Adeh (18) and given the midfield talent a professional contract. As usual, the Green-Whites did not provide any information about the length of their U19 captain’s new working paper.
About Adeh, who was in head coach Ole Werner’s Bundesliga squad for the first time in the 4-2 win in Wolfsburg on matchday seven, but is still waiting for his debut, Werder’s licensing manager Peter Niemeyer said: “Wesley shows consistently good performances in our U19s and left an impression in training and made a promising impression in the test matches with the professionals. Despite his young age, he already has a good physique and is very willing to learn. We are pleased that we will be following his further development together here at Werder.”
Adeh, who played three times for the German U17 national team in 2023 and 2024, said: “I am proud and grateful that Werder continues to trust me. I want to continue working hard on myself to achieve my goals and dreams. Those responsible give me every opportunity to do this.”
