Priscilla Presley opens up about final moments with her daughter Lisa Marie

Priscialla Presley has described the last few days with her late daughter. She told The Hollywood Reporter that she could sense something was wrong with her. Lisa Marie Presley passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2023 as a result of complications from an obstruction in the small intestine.

Just a few days earlier, the two had seen each other at a party at the Hotel Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. There they celebrated Austin Butler’s Gold Globe win, who played Elvis in Baz Luhrmann’s biopic of the same name. In their final moments together, the pair appeared to be enjoying themselves: “I tripped a bit because I was wearing heels, and [Lisa Marie] started laughing out loud,” Priscilla recalled. “I started laughing too. We didn’t even have a drink at the time. She was just like, ‘Oh my god mom, they can’t even let you have a sip.'”

Only a short time later, on the same evening, Lisa Marie is said to have complained of stomach pains. Two days after the event, Priscilla received word that her daughter was in the hospital. But by the time she got there, it was already too late. “I still can’t believe it,” said the 78-year-old. “I wouldn’t wish that on any mother.”

After her passing, a lawsuit arose between Priscilla Presley and her granddaughter Riley Keough over Lisa Marie’s estate. However, this has since been resolved.
