Who is the 2022 Princess of Asturias Award for Communication and Humanities?
adam micnik is the “Princess of Asturias” award for Communication and Humanities for 2022. Born in Warsaw (Poland) on October 17, 1946, he graduated in History and was one of the founders of the KOR movement and a member of the Solidarity union since its creation in 1980. A few years earlier, in 1977, he worked as an editor for several independent magazines and was part of one of the most prominent publishers of the Polish opposition. In the so-called “revolutionary year”, in 1989, he became a deputy and founded the independent newspaper “Gazeta Wyborcza”, of which he is currently editor-in-chief.
