Princess Catherine’s TV appearance sparked outrage – Accused of hypocrisy

Home audiences did not swallow Princess Catherine’s speeches about the importance of charity and helping.

Prince William and Princess Catherine are among Britain’s most popular royals, but a recent charity event has now also raised the gravel voices to the surface.

William and Catherine attended an event for the BBC’s Children in Need charity last week, and the children asked curious questions about the life of the Crown Prince couple.

11 years old Amir Hassan was very interested in William’s income.

– How much money do you have in your bank account, he asked.

The bold question made the prince laugh. He then stated that he does not know the balance of his bank account.

Princess Catherine made a televised speech on behalf of the charity, emphasizing the importance of fundraising. He spoke for the children and that everyone deserves a secure future.

However, the messaging service X (formerly Twitter) soon began to be filled with criticism left by citizens. Among other things, the attention of the viewers at home was attracted by the fact that Catherine represented at the event wearing a branded shirt worth 315 pounds, i.e. 360 euros.

– I hope that Kate Middleton will announce a ten percent cut in the royalties’ tax revenue. Think how much this would raise for charity.

– A millionaire opening the Children in Need program on the BBC channel and asking society for donations.

In the comments, it is estimated that the princess has fallen into hypocrisy.

– Kate Middleton, who owns several apartments, appears at the Children in Need event, which last year raised around 20 million pounds, one commentator criticizes and continues that almost 370 million pounds, i.e. almost 424 million euros, went to the royal family from tax funds.

Income is still growing

With the death of Queen Elizabeth, William and Catherine received new titles, but the couple’s income is also known to have increased dramatically. William inherited the title of Duke of Cornwall from his father Charles in September when Queen Elizabeth died and Charles, the former Duke of Cornwall, became king.

With his new status, William is entitled to annual surplus income from the duchy. Next year, William is expected to receive the entire income of the duchy, that is up to 24 million pounds, or 28 million euros, of private income.

Princess Catherine’s net worth, on the other hand, is estimated to be around ten million pounds, i.e. almost 11.5 million euros.
