Britain’s Prince William and Princess Catherine are currently visiting South Korea. Among others, King Charles and Queen Camilla, as well as Princess Anne, will also be included in the visit.

The royal family arrived on Tuesday with the presidential couple of South Korea Yoon Suk Yeol’s and Kim Keon Hee for dinner.

Royal fans could literally rub their eyes, because Catherine arrived at the dinner wearing the Queen Mother’s rose tiara. According to E News the tiara hasn’t been worn at public events since the 1930s, so it’s a rare sight indeed.

The rose garland is the Queen Mother’s wedding gift from her own father By Claude Bowes-Lyon. The Queen Mother and then Duke of York George (later King George VI) stepped onto the altar in 1923. The diamond-covered tiara was inspired by wild roses. The Queen Mother wore a tiara on her forehead, typical of the style of the 1920s.

According to British Vogue royal fans have speculated for years that the Tiara, which has disappeared from public view, might be too fragile to wear.

The tiara was inherited by the late Queen Elisabeth in 2002 after the death of the Queen Mother. The tiara now seems to have a new life through Princess Catherine.

Catherine was wearing a designer by Jenny Packham a white evening dress with gold details.
