Has Antoon secretly hidden a message for Princess Alexia in his new single? That question concerns Evert Santegoeds after he has taken a closer look at the lyrics.

The alleged love between Antoon and Alexia has been the subject of speculation for months, but both protagonists have not yet clarified this. That is precisely why the ears of Privé boss Evert Santegoeds immediately perked up when Antoon released his new single De Enige on Friday.

Oil on fire

One line from the song in particular raises Evert’s eyebrows, namely: “Ey, girl, you know: I keep quiet. I’m one of the secrets that you don’t share with anyone.”

The magazine maker speculates wildly Show news; according to him, there may be more to the song than just an average love story. In fact, he suspects that the singer is very deliberately adding fuel to the fire of the Alexia rumors. “There’s a hidden message in there.”

Catch

Evert finds it very suspicious. “There’s a catch, because the song has a title that makes you think: hey, does that point to something? It’s called The One. Then you listen to the lyrics with only one thing in mind: could it possibly be about Alexia?”

He continues: “Well, we have quite a bit of imagination, but let people at home hear what this is about.”

One hundred percent

Show expert Eline de Ruig has a very different view. “But now we are one hundred percent sure that this is over and done with? Otherwise he would never have done this, would he?”

Tooske Ragas: “You draw very quick conclusions!”

Evert: “You stick to the musicals!”

Tooske: “We listened to it three times, but what exactly is the text?”

‘It’s a game!’

Antoon’s lyrics then appear large: “Ey, girl, you know: I keep quiet. I’m one of the secrets that you don’t share with anyone.”

Eline: “Yes, but Alexia would never be happy if he did this, right? Or the RVD or whatever.”

Evert concludes: “It’s a game after all! And when they can deny it, they don’t do it. If they’re tired of the rumors, one should have just opened their mouths at Eva and the other at the photo hour, but they don’t do that.”
