Princess Alexia stunted during a photo opportunity with a goofy answer to questions about her alleged relationship with rapper Antoon, but what else will come out? “Wild behavior in London.”
More than six months after Privé revealed that Princess Alexia may be in a relationship with rapper Antoon – the weekly magazine had photos of her getting into his car – the Oranje’s photo opportunity was recently the perfect moment to definitively put the story to rest. Or to confirm of course. Neither happened.
Alexia’s friends
The palace provided an answer that was not an answer. “I know who my friends are,” said Alexia, after which Queen Máxima had to intervene.
Private boss Evert Santegoeds thinks it is incredibly amateurish. “That was a bungling of the first order. If Máxima had to intervene… It really surprised me,” he says in the podcast Strictly Private.
Own beans
Alexia is now 20 years old. “It’s nice that Máxima intervenes, but she should be able to manage her own affairs, right? Especially if you know that such a question will be asked, of course. I think it’s poorly prepared and poorly supervised by the RVD,” says Evert.
He continues: “If you want it to stop gradually… It was September, right, that we came up with that revelation. We are now more than six months later and it has not been made clear in any possible way whether it was something or not. In my opinion, there is a lack of direction.”

You can make it clear in all kinds of ways, says Evert. “They didn’t do that and that’s why it continues to fester. Then there is another question about it during the photo hour at Christmas. The answer: ‘I know who my friends are’, that is not an answer to the question.”
Does he think they are in a relationship or not? “Well, I think there’s a kind of smokescreen going on and there’s definitely something going on.”
Wild behavior
Evert knows even more about Alexia. “I have to say: I have a source in London and he says that he has not yet been spotted there in the tents where she stays and has wild evenings. Yes, Alexia’s wild evenings.”
Is he going to publish something about that? “Well, it’s difficult to show it of course, isn’t it?” he says, pointing to the Oranje’s strict media code. “I wasn’t allowed to come to the photo hour, but I didn’t register either, I have to say.”
