The police have arrested two men who are suspected of being involved in the burglary in the Primera in Breda Wednesday night. It is a 51-year-old man from Bergen op Zoom and a 44-year-old man from Oosterhout.
Burglars kicked the door of the store around five in the morning, left a mess and ran away with bags full of cigarettes.
More than two weeks ago it was also hit in the store. Although the security was scaled up afterwards, the burglars were able to enter again. “Apparently it was not enough,” concluded owner Rezjwan Ahmed on Thursday morning.
Detailment
Now it appears that the extra measures have helped. Because tobacco issues are more often the target of ram and burglaries, the Primera has started an innovative pilot that should contribute to the faster detection of suspects.
She does not announce exactly how the police could get to the suspects. But thanks to the measure, the burglars could already be arrested in Oosterhout on Wednesday morning. Here, agents found a considerable amount of tobacco, presumably from the burglary.
The suspects, a 51-year-old man from Bergen op Zoom and a 44-year-old man from Oosterhout, were taken to the police station and are heard. Research will have to show whether these suspects are also guilty of the earlier burglary in the case.
