Prime Minister Schoof will visit Bonaire, Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Saba and Sint Eustatius from 9 to 14 May. The introductory visit is mainly dominated by the Kingdom in a changing world.
In addition to the meetings with the Governors, Prime Ministers and members of the States of Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten and the authorities and island councils of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba, the visitor includes a varied program.
The visit starts on Bonaire, where the Prime Minister has various conversations and delves into history and nature. On 10 May he travels on to Aruba. Here he visits a local company, the Horacio Oduber Hospital and the Aruba Institute Institute. The Prime Minister leaves 11 May for Curaçao, where he will be given a tour of the naval base.
The next day he travels to Sint Maarten, where he is informed about the themes of economic development, reconstruction and good governance. The visits to Saba and Sint Eustatius are on the program on 13 May. On Saba, the Prime Minister looks at projects that are dominated by nature conservation and food security during a Tour. On Sint Eustatius a tour follows in the sign of Statia 2026. At the end of the day, Prime Minister moves back to Sint Maarten. On May 14, among other things, a visit to the CruiseMinal final, in the context of economic development, is on the program. In addition, Prime Minister visits the Courthhouse and reconstruction projects that started after the destruction by Hurricane Irma in 2017.
