Prime Minister Schoof will participate in the COP30 climate summit in Belém, Brazil on November 6 and 7, 2025. Topics that will be central during this climate summit are the contributions that member states make to achieving the 1.5 degree target, climate adaptation, implementation and climate financing. During the COP30, the Prime Minister will address the other heads of government and participate in various thematic sessions.
On November 7 and 8, the Prime Minister will make a short stop in Curaçao and Aruba. The Prime Minister will then travel to Santa Marta, Colombia on November 8 to participate in the CELAC-EU summit. This summit is organized by the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the EU. The summit provides opportunities to further strengthen the partnership between the EU and CELAC. And to confirm the EU’s position as a reliable partner of the LAC region.
