Prime Minister Rutte to Brussels for talks with presidents of the European Parliament, European Council and European Commission | news item

Prime Minister Rutte will travel to Brussels on Thursday 3 February for three separate talks with the presidents of the European Parliament, the European Council and the European Commission. The talks serve as a (re) acquaintance after the Rutte IV cabinet takes office and are dominated by the upcoming European summits and the European agenda, with topics such as economic growth and investment, climate and energy and strengthening the rule of law. An important topic on the agenda is the situation at the border between Ukraine and Russia.

Prime Minister Rutte is the first to be received by the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola. He then has a meeting with President of the European Council, Charles Michel. Finally, the Prime Minister speaks at a working dinner with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
