“You noticed in the matches that the conditional level made the difference,” outlines the water polo player from Gouda. “Mornar, the home team, trains eight to nine times a week and is only busy with water polo. We train four times a week. Then I am really proud of what we have achieved. The opponents also took us seriously.”
City trip to Split?
Is Split a nice city for a city trip? “We actually saw very little of the city,” Lucas laughs. “On such a trip we spend a lot of time in the hotel, the swimming pool and lying in bed a lot. We were able to walk through the city on Sunday and Split is certainly beautiful and nice by the sea. We didn’t drink more than a beer on the terrace, because we had to get up again at 4.30 am.”
