MANNII presents a shampoo and conditioner with first-class attributes: pH balanced, dermatologically tested, tear-free, paraben-free and with a delicate aroma. However, its true innovation lies in the packaging: a unique, reusable and multifunctional design that encourages educational play and sustainability. Inspired by building blocks, the packaging is a cube with rounded shapes and inserts that allow assembly, construction games and transfers, encouraging children to reuse it creatively.
MANNII’s approach goes beyond traditional cosmetics. As explained on their official website, shampoomannii.comthe packaging was designed to never end up in the trash. Furthermore, although it adds value as a toy, it does not increase the price of the product, differentiating itself from other offers on the market that prioritize eye-catching packaging without a reusable approach. The brand also invites consumers to donate the containers if they do not use them as toys, thus promoting a positive social impact.
We spoke with Daniel Maniago, one of the founding partners, who shared the initial inspiration for the project. During a trip through the interior of the country in the nineties, Daniel conceived the idea of a children’s shampoo whose packaging was also a toy. Baptized “Shampucito”, the concept was kept until, in 2020, he found his current partner, Julieta Dal Verme, a designer with experience in projects related to “the container as content”. Together, they overcame four years of development and numerous challenges to bring this innovative product to life.
MANNII not only offers quality products that can also be used by adults, but redefines the role of packaging in children’s cosmetics, promoting a sustainable and playful vision.
