President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements at the opening ceremony of UEFA Istanbul Representative.

“I am happy to be with you on the occasion of the opening of UEFA’s Istanbul representative. I hope that the representative will be instrumental in charity.”
“Our teams appear in UEFA organization every year”
“In 2005, the Champions League finals, the UEFA Final in 2009, the FIFA under the age of 20 in 2013, the UEFA Super Cup final in 2019 in 2019, we hosted the UEFA Super Cup final. Our teams show up every year in UEFA organizations. A National Team played the quarter -finals in the European Championship. And we will host the 2027 Conference League finals together with Italy. “
“We built new facilities in football”
“We destroyed the stadiums that have completed most of their lives in football and built new facilities in their places. 38 of the stadiums throughout Turkey entered service, 4 of them were construction and 4 of them project and tender works are continuing. We have completed our infrastructure deficiencies affecting sports.”
“We will sign joint projects with UEFA”
“We have worked with the spirit of mobilization in order to reach the level it deserves in our country and to reach the world standards of Türkiye’s infrastructure. UEFA, with the opening of the Istanbul representative, we carry these studies to the next level. After UEFA, London and Brussels, we will open more representatives in Istanbul.
“We do not approve of the earthquake in daily politics”
“I am passing my wishes to our citizens affected by the earthquake. We have received the most up -to -date information at the meeting we made with AFAD and gave the necessary instructions. The absence of life is our greatest consolation source. We are working as a state. We will evaluate the subject at the next cabinet meeting.
