“Messi’s time has not ended the way we all would have liked,” said Laporta. “I think Barca have a moral obligation to Messi. We would love to see him end up in an FC Barcelona shirt and be cheered wherever he goes.”
The chairman emphasizes that Messi has not yet been discussed about a return. “It was a temporary end, because I believe that we will make this wish come true.” Messi has a one-season contract in Paris, where he scored 11 goals in all competitions last year.
