Preparations for being together for an indefinite period of time: the review

PGET READY TO BE TOGETHER FOR AN INDEFINITE PERIOD OF TIME
Type: dramatic, psychological ✦✦✦
Director: Lili Horvath. With Natasa Stork, Viktor Bodó, Benett Vilmányi, Zsolt Nagy

Natasa Stork is Márta.

Márta, a Hungarian neurosurgeon living in the USA, met her colleague János at a congress. At the appointment that the two make for the following month in Budapest, however, he doesn’t show up and when she meets him he pretends not to know her.

What happened in Márta’s brain, that part of the body that studies and takes care of? Has passion pushed her to the edge of hallucination? Or is János a “man who lived twice”?

Horvat quotes a line from the exergue Love song of a crazy girl by Sylvia Plath: «I think I invented you» e reworks the myth of the woman consumed by love obsession (Adele H. by François Truffaut is the prototype) giving the exclusive to her point of view.

The conflict is all internal, the fatal attraction towards oneself.
