The first 8m, on the other hand, will receive a bye, starting the tournament on the 25th. Up for grabs are 2000 FIP points and a record prize of 525 thousand euros.

Between the main draw and the qualifiers, 4 wild cards will be made available. The path has already begun: in these days, Open tournaments are being held in six Italian regions (Lazio, Piedmont, Emilia Romagna, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily), aimed at determining who will arrive in Rome. The winners will be admitted to the pre-qualification draw which will take place at the Forum from 18 to 20 May.
