Premature elimination for judoka Frank de Wit at World Masters

Judoka Frank de Wit failed to successfully close the year at the World Masters. The second round of the prestigious end-of-year tournament in Jerusalem turned out to be the final destination for De Heemskerker.

The 26-year-old De Wit was allowed to participate in the World Masters because he belongs to the best 36 judokas in his weight class. The North Hollander comes out in the class up to 81 kilograms. De Wit, who had a bye in the first round, lost to Antonio Esposito in the next round. The Italian won, much to the dissatisfaction of De Wit, thanks to a waza-ari.
