The bitter power struggle at Hannover 96 goes into the next round – and again in court. This time even the license of the second division soccer team is at stake. A decisive signature is missing. Long -time club director Martin Kind still hopes for a quick agreement. The Supervisory Board approved the license budget on Wednesday.
“We are still in conversations and I hope that we can get another solution. It cannot be that we don’t get a license. That would be adventurous,” Kind told the NDR on Tuesday. “We currently need a decision urgently so that the documents can be submitted, but we also need a solution to avoid such conflicts in the future.”
License application must be at the DFL until March 17th
Hannover 96 has the problem acute on the table. The license documents must be submitted to the German Football League (DFL) by March 17 – but a decisive signature is missing. For eight months, the managing director’s post in the outsourced professional football company of the second division soccer team has been vacant.
But it is precisely this managing director that calls for the DFL to sign. In this case, an autograph by sports director Marcus Mann, who is equipped with Procura at Hannover 96, is not sufficient.

KGAA. As soon as the management of the KGAA has been decided, the licensing documents could now be fully signed and submitted to the German Football League (DFL) on time, the association said.

In other words, the court indicates Hannover 96 to deal with the problems created themselves. However, the shareholders around the child do not want to accept that. If we continue like this, these people will drive both the EV and the professional department against the wall,” said Mann to the address of the mother’s club. Kind’s favorite is still a man, to whose threatened exit he also commented: “If he goes, then he works. We cannot prevent that. But that would be a disaster. The entire sporting situation would have to be re-analyzed. That would be a disaster, the worst-case scenario.”
The licensing topic for Hannover 96 comes to the wrong time. The “red” are still in the race for the Bundesliga promotion. On Sunday (1.30 p.m., in the NDR LiveCenter), the Lower Saxony Sendersby against Eintracht Braunschweig is pending. But the focus is not currently on sporty, but once again the bitter power struggle in the club.
