Power Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba weakens further after a new election defeat

The Japanese government coalition of Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba has suffered a major defeat in the elections for the Hogerhuis, one of the two rooms of parliament. Ishiba’s Liberal Democratic Party and the smaller partner Komeito lost a considerable number of seats and no longer have a majority, report Japanese media.
