Post Malone has the launch of his Big Ass Stadium Tour Part 2 with Jelly Roll postponed to complete his new studio record.
The singer announced the change on social media Friday, explaining that the first six dates of the tour will be canceled and the stadium tour will begin six weeks later so Malone can complete his 40-song double album “The Eternal Buzz.”
“As I looked at the upcoming schedule after Stagecoach, I realized that what we plan to do and what is realistically possible don’t really match up,” Malone wrote on his Instagram Story. “The truth is, I promised you new music and I don’t have time to finish it before the tour starts. We’re not ready for the tour yet, so I’m making the decision to postpone the tour by about 3 weeks to get this music finished.”
Rejections and apologies
Malone continued, “That said, I’m so sorry for the people who wanted to come to the few canceled shows. I was looking forward to hanging out with you guys. But this also MUST be said: We did some dope stuff for this double album… and I can’t wait to perform for you again.”
The Big Ass Stadium Tour Part 2 was originally scheduled to kick off on May 13th in El Paso, Texas, but that gig was canceled. Other affected dates include stadium concerts in Waco (Texas), Baton Rouge (Louisiana), Birmingham (Alabama), Tampa (Florida) and Oxford (Mississippi).
Malone and Jelly Roll’s tour is currently scheduled to kick off on June 9th in Charlotte, North Carolina. Before the Big Ass Stadium Tour Part 2, Malone will perform at three festivals: Boots in the Park in Albuquerque on May 16th, Gulf Coast Jam in Panama City Beach, Florida on May 31st and the Carolina Country Music Festival in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on June 7th.
Weaker ticket sales
The North American leg of the Big Ass Stadium Tour Part 2 – which Variety reports is seeing “weaker” ticket sales than Part 1 in 2025 – now includes 13 dates and ends July 28 in Salt Lake City; Festivals like Summer Fest in Milwaukee are also planned. After the North American leg, the tour heads to Asia, where Don Toliver replaces Jelly Roll for this leg.
