Post-derby Rome-Lazio quarrel: the inspectors have seen everything, the sports judge decides

The federal collaborators present at the Olimpico on Sunday evening recorded what happened in the locker room. Mastrandrea will evaluate the behavior of the players and managers involved, without the need for an investigation by the federal prosecutor

In other words, the right people in the right place. We’re talking about the federal inspectors who were in the belly of the Olimpico yesterday at the end of the match and were able to witness the whole tussle following Roma’s defeat in the derby by Lazio. This, therefore, has led to the fact that there will be no need to open any investigation to ascertain the actual development of the facts, because the dynamics of the incident have already been seen and reported to the federal prosecutor, Giuseppe Chiné.

Possible penalties

The ball will pass today directly to the sports judge Gerardo Mastrandrea, who will decide on any sanctions. Impressions? It is possible that – unlike those sent off on the pitch (Ibanez, Cristante, Marusic and goalkeeper coach Nuno Santos) – nothing will happen to the protagonists of the post-match tensions, or at least nothing significant. The federal inspectors, apart from the non-Oxfordian expressions that were used by the various players and professionals involved in the confrontation (Romagnoli was the first, then followed by Mancini, Cristante, Marusic, Luis Alberto, plus three from Mourinho’s technical staff , i.e. Foti, Rapetti and Cerra), no behavior deserving disqualification should have been detected. Even the president Lotito would not risk anything, as well as Mourinho, who was in fact authorized to go to the locker room, given that his disqualification ended at the final whistle of the match. Moral: even if there won’t be disciplinary consequences, that at least serves as a lesson for the future (but we doubt it).
