It is not yet known why the musician died. Lanegan only published his book “Devil In A Coma” in December 2021. In it he reports in detail about his fight with Corona and its consequences. He had been in a coma for around three weeks, but he could still remember many moments from that time afterwards. Because: Again and again he alternated between waking and sleeping. However, nightmares, visions and feelings of guilt plagued him, which prompted him to do an autobiographical review after his recovery.
