Pope Leo calls on people to help the poor during Christmas Eve Mass: “Whoever refuses to do so rejects God”

Pope Leo XIV called for humanity and peace during his first Christmas Eve mass as church leader in Vatican City. He said in his Christmas Eve sermon that the story of Jesus, who was born in a stable because there was no room in an inn, should remind Christians that refusing to help the poor and strangers is tantamount to rejecting God.
