With the seriously ill Pope Franciscus things went a bit better on Wednesday. The pope, who has been nursed in the Gemelli hospital since 14 February and with whom a double pneumonia has been diagnosed, has received a visit from Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. They spoke to each other for twenty minutes. Meloni expressed her wish for a speedy recovery on behalf of the government and the entire nation. “I am very happy that I found him alert and engaging. We made jokes as always. He has not lost his proverbial sense of humor, “said Italian Prime Minister.
