The 35-year-old policewoman from Gouda who, according to justice, was guilty of possessing and releasing state secrets is free again. The former employee of the National Coordinator for Counterterrorism and Security (NCTV) may be prosecuted for this.

In any case, she is still a suspect in the case, but she no longer has to be detained, the Public Prosecution Service (OM) said. That continues the investigation into the woman.

She was arrested at the same time as a top employee of the NCTV and the National Police, and that arrest followed careful information from the General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD). This man remains in pre-trial detention. He is also limited. This means that he may only have contact with his lawyer.

The two are said to be good acquaintances. After the arrest, outgoing Minister Dilan Yeşilgöz (Security and Justice) announced that she wants an independent investigation into the man and woman.
