In Belgium and Germany, the police have arrested seven suspected members of a gang of human smugglers. According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, in the German state of Bavaria, and the German federal police, various homes were also searched during the operation, including in the Bavarian district of Ansbach and in Leipzig.
