A police officer has to answer to a judge for shooting a man who brandished an ax in Scheveningen in May 2020. The officer states that he acted out of emergency, because the man with the ax posed a direct threat to one of his colleagues. The Public Prosecution Service (OM) doubts that and wants the judge to look into the case.
