Police merger plans: Tielt region surprised at merger talks between RIHO and MIDOW
The Tielt region police zone could join RIHO, with Roeselare, Izegem and Hooglede and MIDOW (Meulebeke, Ingelmunster, Dentergem, Oostrozebeke and Wielsbeke). But it now responds that it does not intend to merge for the time being.
“The police college regrets to hear through the media that we could possibly join this announced merger in the future. If there are plans or ideas for this, it seems obvious that the boards of the police districts involved will check this with each other in all transparency and discuss,” he said.

Police zone Regio Tielt is already working more closely with police zone Het Houtsche, although there was no merger there at the beginning of this year. “The PZ Regio Tielt remains open to cooperation, if this is done in an atmosphere of openness and on the basis of equality.”
