The public prosecutor’s office is investigating a possible kidnapping attempt that allegedly took place on Thursday evening in the Brussels municipality of Sint-Gillis. The South police zone confirmed this on Friday.
Reports are circulating on social media of a witness who allegedly saw young people trying to force a peer into the trunk of a car on Thursday evening on Louis Moricharplein in Sint-Gillis.
The police confirmed on Friday that they received a call on Thursday evening about an attempted kidnapping. The victim was able to escape. The police arrived on the scene, but the suspects were nowhere to be found. Nothing is known about the exact circumstances or the identity of the young people.
