The police fired a warning shot this afternoon during an arrest of a robbery in Zaandam. The two detainees are suspected of a robbery at an electronics store on Gedempte Gracht.
The robbery happened around 4:30 p.m. The two then fled in the direction of the Westerwatering residential area. Burgernet was looking for the two men.
After a search, the suspects were arrested at the Lech Walesahof. One of the officers fired a warning shot.
It is unknown if the two got away with anything. The police are investigating the case and are asking witnesses and people with CCTV footage to share it.
