The police found weapons and hundreds of kilos of fireworks in a storage box under their own police station on the Hoofdweg in West. The police finally took action after an anonymous tip.
The storage room of the houses and the police station do not have the same main entrance. This made it easier for the perpetrator to smuggle weapons in.
The police have opened an investigation.
