Just in these days more or less, on August 9, 2024, Chiara Consonni became Olympic – with Vittoria Guazzini – of the American at the five -circle velodrome of Saint Quentin en Yvelines. This year on the road, with the new Canyon-Sram shirt, the 26 year old from Bergamo had not yet won and has unlocked himself today at the Giro di Poland: his sprint of the first stage, 106 km with departure and arrival in Zamosc, in front of the French Clara Copponi. The men instead ran to Denmark: in the first stage, 178 km from Nexo to Ronne, victory for Mads Pedersen, a 29 year old from Lidl-Trek who will be the favorite on Saturday 23 August to wear the first red jersey of Vuelta, at the start from Piedmont.
