“It is just a coincidence that I again make a goal against NEC,” says Poku after the game. “It was often not easy, because I could have scored against other clubs. I was not worried that I did not score goals, you just have to keep going.”
Poku was also important at the 3-1 of AZ in Nijmegen with an assist on Troy Parrott. Yet he did not count himself rich with the spacious lead. “We had to stay sharp and unfortunately we got two goals around the ears. NEC did well with the passes. The disappointment is now heavier than the joy around my goal.”
