Martina Aitolehti and Esko Eerikäinen reminisce Martina & Esko in the episode of the podcast about his former relationships in which emotional violence occurred.
In the episode, Eerikäinen tells a story about his former dating partner, who was very jealous. One situation from the relationship has particularly stuck in his mind.
He says that he returned home after a rather late shift, where the lights were on, but despite the rumours, no one answered. However, the apartment was a mess. After searching for a while, he found his partner on the floor.
– He had cut every single one of my photo albums with scissors, Eerikäinen recalls.
Noticing Eerikäinen’s partner, he began to type out answers with the scissors still in his hand:
– This is where you keep pictures of such a whore?
Eerikäinen says that he ran away from the situation and headed straight to the police station to file a criminal report. However, the matter did not progress further than the announcement.
The story also evokes strong memories in Aitolehti, because it brings back to his mind a situation from one of his relationships years ago.
Aitolehti says that her ex-spouse often spent weekends outside, while she herself preferred to stay at home. One weekend, the man was going out again, but Martina didn’t want to go. This made the man furious.
– This guy then decided to mutilate the bed, mattresses, blankets, pillows with a knife and scissors so that I can’t sleep. And then, when (he) had shredded all this sleeping equipment, he still pissed on the bed so I couldn’t sleep, Aitolehti says and continues:
– I was completely paralyzed by that situation. I remember sitting on the sofa for several hours and just staring into nothingness.
The situation evoked in him similar emotions as the incident that happened years before, where he was thrown a glass. Aitolehti thought for a long time about how to act in the situation, but in the end stayed in the relationship.
Aitolehti does not reveal which former partner he refers to in the episode. In addition to Eerikäinen, she has been in a relationship with businessman Stefan Therman from 2011 to 2020. In addition, he dated his Australian partner from 2022 to 2025.
