Johanna says that her amniotic fluid started leaking the second she entered the hospital doors in the evening. The contractions started next. Johanna took the starting medicine before going to bed. In the morning it was time to give birth.
The couple says they have a positive attitude to medication during childbirth. Johanna took an epidural for the birth, but she flatly refused the second medicine.
– They asked about my back pain, do you want morphine. I said no way! Johanna exclaimed in the podcast and was amazed at how strong medicine was offered to her.
Morphine is Duodecim Health Library according to the description, a drug that affects the central nervous system and is used to treat severe pain.
Morphine was offered for Johanna’s back pain, for which no explanation could really be found. Doctors estimate that the baby’s position causes pain in Johanna’s back. However, Johanna did not want to take medicine that would affect her mind or make her feel groggy.
Renny describes that despite the pain, Johanna gave birth calmly and suffered silently. According to Renny, Johanna never pushed herself to the limit during childbirth.
– What movies have always shown about childbirth… Women scream red, sweat and tears fly, they curse and shout at their husbands and the hospital staff. That will definitely happen.
According to Harlin, the birth went according to plan. The boy was born healthy on April 21.
