Please note: Paris, Lyon, Montpellier and Grenoble will ban these older diesel and petrol cars from January 1

Some French cities are introducing stricter rules on air pollution. Motorists from our country should also check the new rules before departure. The French regions of Greater Paris, Lyon, Montpellier and Grenoble will ban vehicles with a Crit’Air 3 environmental sticker from January 1. This affects diesel cars from before 2011 and petrol cars from before 2006. In Greater Paris, the measure affects around 480,000 vehicles.
