Stacking waste, pumping a bottle with a bicycle pump or ‘Bottleflips’: the Tilburg fair is not just about the height, fastest and scariest attractions. In the Petpretpark on the Spoorlaan, visitors can pick waste and you can play with waste. And that does not detract from the fair experience. “Something that you normally throw away can have a lot of value,” says organizer Rolph Adriaansen.
Fanatical parents and children live completely in the Petpretpark on Saturday afternoon. At the Tilburgs championship Bottleflips, bottles are thrown into the air as quickly as possible in the hope that they will end up on the bottom.
With a bicycle pump a bottle is pumped up until it touches the bell. Children can take a dip in the cap -sized cap filled with caps of PET bottles. Other caps are piled up with a pinch without dropping the stack.

“It is challenging, but not too difficult,” says a boy who focuses on each other concentrated. “It’s nice to play with waste, but also a bit crazy. At home I don’t do it that quickly.”
Organizer Rolph Adriaansen hopes to change that with the amusement park full of waste. “We want to make the fair a bit cleaner and that is why we are having fun with waste. We show that something that is normally thrown away can have a lot of value,” he says.
“Money does not have to be an obstacle.”
The Petpretpark is the only free attraction at the Tilburg fair. “Money does not have to be an obstacle to having fun. Parents can relax here while the children enjoy themselves,” says Adriaansen.
Yet it doesn’t keep playing. The fair is actually a bit cleaner by visitors who walk through the center with a garbage bag and pick up waste. They can hand in the full pockets at the amusement park.
“This way they can win prizes such as a subscription to Efteling,” says the organizer. Inge van Kemenade wants that and that is why she reports to the amusement park with a well -filled bag. “Winning is always fun, but I also do it to make the fair a bit cleaner. You see so much litter,” she says.

The organization of the Petpretpark is happy with all the empty PET bottles. “We turn it into chandeliers. For example, there is a chandelier in the Lochal in Tilburg made of ten thousand PET bottles,” says Adriaansen.
The other waste is used for the special games, which the fair visitors experience great fun. The winner of the waste collection campaign will be announced on Sunday afternoon.
