On January 1st, Travis Scott posted a video to his Instagram account announcing the new single “Backr00ms” featuring Playboi Carti. In the short clip, British rapper Blackhaine can be seen screaming into the camera: “New music! Carty! Travis Scott! Publish [Piepton] today!”
Along with the announcement, Carti also posted a new music video to YouTube that shows the two musicians performing in a garage alongside shots in an office space.

Fourth common track
The two US rappers most recently worked together on the song “FE!N”, which was released on Scott’s album UTOPIA. “Backr00ms” also appears to be the first taste of Playboi Carti’s new record. The upcoming LP, titled MUSIC, will be the rapper’s first full-length release since 2020’s WHOLE LOTTA RED. DJ Swamp Izzo previously said on Voice In The Streets Unfiltered that the Carti album he worked on was finished.
