Just before the break in the play-off match MVV – NAC, a plastic cup was thrown onto the field from the supporters section of the club from Breda. As the new guidelines of the KNVB prescribe, referee Erwin Blank immediately stopped the game.
A photographer who was sitting by the section and saw the cup lying there tried to throw it over the fence as quickly as possible so that no one would see it and the game could continue. Nevertheless, the arbitration had noticed, after which the meeting was stopped. NAC’s trainer, Peter Hyballa, walked angrily towards his own supporters. NAC icon Ton Lokhoff also tried to bring his own supporters to repent.
NAC had just shot in the 3-0 and it seems very likely that this was a beer of joy that ended up on the field. The game resumed after five minutes.
