The spouse of President Alexander Stubb’s father, singer and actor Pirkko Mannola and iskelmä star Vieno Kekkonen were the first to arrive at Iltalehti’s live broadcast.

Kekkonen and Mannola talked about the badges of honor they owned in a live broadcast. The friends and singing legends also commented on the veterans’ Independence Day party they performed at earlier this week.

– It was moving. Speeches were held there and we were invited to the stage with the accordionist, Mannola is happy.

According to Mannola, the songs they performed were very familiar to the veterans.

– Yes, someone beat the pace there, Kekkonen laughs.

– Well, it was a great opportunity. We are so proud to have performed for the veterans. It was a great party! Mannola sums up.

In the week of Independence Day, the Mannola family experienced a sad situation when Stubb’s father Göran Stubb fell ill with the corona virus. However, Mannola says that she will not have to spend the evening alone despite Göran’s illness.

– I am not alone, there are many friends and acquaintances here, says Mannola.

– My brother takes good care of me. Niksu takes care of me, Mannola continues.

According to Mannola, the president’s 89-year-old father was looking forward to shaking his son’s hand at the Linna party.

– I was already in tears beforehand, how moving it will be, Mannola describes.

– Next year we will celebrate twice as hard! Mannola hoses.

Mannola commented on Göran’s health in the interview. Göran didn’t want to come to the party to infect others. Mannola says that Göran Stubb received a booster vaccine against the disease just a moment before contracting the corona virus.

– Yes, he feels much better today, Mannola says.

Even though Göran is sick at home, Mannola is at Linna’s party with a big smile on her face. Göran watches Linna’s party on TV from the sofa at home.

– I dared to leave, he takes care of himself and will be fine! Mannola describes her moods.

– Can I send greetings at home? How’s it going there? Mannola says to Göran on Iltalehti’s broadcast.

Mannola and Kekkonen don’t think they will dance during the evening. The women have other plans.

– I don’t know, but I saw that wonderful table. I even went to film. There are tons of goodies! Mannola reveals.

– Kind of the same! not me about that dancing… Kekkonen mumbles.

– More about this eating, Mannola continues.

– There are music performances here, so maybe we’ll go watch them, Mannola laughs at the end.
