Pier Tol about transfer madness: “Later on, players can earn five times as much”

The millions flew around our ears during the last transfer period. Former international Pier Tol is no longer surprised. “They all want to leave, because further on you can earn five times as much. It’s about the big money,” says the Volendammer in our football talk show De Aftrap.

The former player of AZ’67 is hesitant about the strength of the current AZ. “It all has to grow.”

Tol finds it strange that players want to force a departure by not coming to train anymore. “You signed a contract with your full mind.”

According to business director Richard de Weijze of FC Volendam, such an attitude, even though players often get their way, is not good. “You quickly lose the credit that you have built up as a player.”

The Kick-Off can be seen on TV every Friday at NH Sport. The first broadcast is at 5.15 pm and after that you can watch it every hour in the repeat. In addition to the guests Pier Tol and Richard de Weijze, Paul Kok will play the game Raak de Vlag this week. Of course we close with our own team FC De Aftap.
