Early Sunday evening (February 19) Depeche Mode gave their announced “secret concert” in Munich. Martin Gore and Dave Gahan and their live musicians Christian Eigner (drums) and Peter Gordeno (keyboards) performed for around 30 minutes and then answered questions from a moderator in a 30-minute panel discussion. The focus was on the 15th studio album “Memento Mori”, which was released in March.
The venue was the old congress hall at the Bavariapark. As seen in the photos, Martin Gore wore a silver jacket while Dave Gahan wore a dark suit. According to the reports on the net, both were in a good mood and very fit looking. A bit reserved/concentrated on the songs at first, then Dave fast as always: arms spread, big show on a small stage. Martin smiling. Thunderous applause from the 400 people, everyone stood despite the seating.
setlist:
01. Ghosts Again
02. Wagging Tongze
03. My Favorite Stranger
04. Precious
05. Personal Jesus
