Tour de France is one of the world’s most prestigious and watched road cycling competitions.
The competition lasts three weeks and is cycling around France in varying landscapes.
The competition attracts millions of spectators along the track who want to see top -notch cyclists around the world. The event is known for its great passion, but sometimes also for excesses.
During this year’s second leg, an exceptionally tasteless episode was seen as some fans went to the old cemetery and rose over the tombstones to watch the competition. The pictures and videos taken from the situation quickly spread on social media, raising rage and dismay.
-Today’s French … No values, this has become a land of losers, comments one user in the picture.
– I would look at the cemetery, but I would never put my legs on the tomb. No shame, criticizing the other.
However, not everyone considered the act to be fully condemned.
One defensive comment pointed out that this is a densely built cemetery without proper routes and that the tombs must be crossed to get forward. However, the explanation was not good for most.
– An excuse. Unless you are going to the tomb, there is nothing there. This is a healthy organization and respect, another user replied.
– The mere thought of going to the cemetery to watch sports is completely a lack of respect, one wrote.
So far, the organizers of the French around the French have not received an official comment on the incident.
