Matti Nykänen’s widow, Pia, reveals in the Olet tyme syot program that she loves jogging sausages and processed meats.

The deceased Matti Nykänen widow Pia Nykänen put his lifestyle under renovation in the Olet tah syat program. Before, the woman cut back on vegetables and fruits, while the food circle was filled almost exclusively with processed meats and sausage.

However, Nykänen did not defy sports doctor Pippa Laukka, who hosts the program, but eliminated industrial products from her diet.

– I said that I can try to leave it, but yes, the link can still be found in the fridge, Nykänen admits.

The love of running sausages goes back to Nykänen’s childhood, where sausages were fried in the fireplace or on the sauna stove. Still, every time the sauna heats up, a familiar delicacy is heated on the stove.

– My youngest son still lives at home, so if he wants a steak, I might choose that sausage for food myself.

Vegetables have now been permanently planted in the diet, but fruits and especially berries are still in the way.

– I’m bad at eating fruit that needs to be peeled. I don’t like berries at all.

Now eating habits and lifestyles are also being looked at: pasta has changed to a whole grain version and we now take longer walks with the dog.

– You even feel a little guilty if you don’t go for long runs with the dog!
