Photos: This is what Kraftklub looked like live in Berlin

Kraftklub performed as part of their “Kargo” tour, which was almost everywhere sold out, on Thursday in the Max-Schmeling-Halle in Berlin. Support was provided by Mia Morgan, who also appeared on Kraftklub’s new album and got the audience in the mood for the main act with hits like “Wave Boy”. Our photographer Erik Lorenz was there and brought pictures, see above – and a few words from his memory.

Erik said: “Kraftklub themselves entered the stage just before 9:00 p.m. Individually adjustable curtains created a feeling that there was only a small ceiling. Club concert feeling, but on a large scale. With more show elements than at this year’s festival performances. Guitarist Karl Schumann was pulled up on a small moving stage during the song “Allmann Angst”. Pyrotechnics followed later, the large LED-K was illuminated. Kraftklub presented their new album in full length. The other classics from the previous albums achieved what was already clear: the fans celebrated every song enthusiastically and in full ecstasy. So of course there was great joy when Blond came on stage to visit her brothers at the Berlin concert and to perform their song “so beautiful”. Later there was another special act: A little boy, who had already been pulled onto the stage from his father’s shoulders at the Lollapalooza, was now allowed to join the band again to operate the wheel of fortune introduced this summer. This time the lot fell on “Scheißindiedisko”, the pearl of the first album. Later, Kraftklub moved into the audience to play acoustic songs in the middle. Also Felix Kummers “with you”. Ten years after their first album, the huge arenas are almost all sold out, despite generally falling concert ticket sales and tour cancellations by other colleagues. With the Berlin concert, Kraftklub also clearly prove that the shows still feel just as close and heartfelt as they did in the small, sweaty East German club.”
